Registration for the 2026-2027 season will open August 1st, 2026!

Players participating in tryouts outside of Cole Harbour Minor Hockey, (U15 Major, U18 Major, U16 AAA, High School) have to be registered for the upcoming season no later than the September 8th deadline to participate in the 2026-2027 tryout process. Accounts for these players will not have to be paid till it is determined where your player will be playing for the season.  If your player is returning to the association for the season, all registration fees are due on that date. If your player is successful in making a team outside the Association, please contact the registrar to have your players registration removed. 

Registration Policies 

Registration Deadline (without tryout late fee): 11:59 pm Sunday, Aug 23rd, 2026

Late Registrations for competitive tryouts will be accepted until 11:59pm, Tuesday Sept 8th with a $40 late fee.

No late fees apply to U7, U9 and U11-U18 Recreational registrations, but these players are encouraged to register prior to the deadlines so registration numbers and ice times can be assessed for season startup.

• Registration must be completed by the deadlne so that ice times can be planned appropriately (Conditioning camps for some levels will begin on August 29th 2026).
• There will be no late registrations for Competitive Tryouts past September 8th, 2026
• Any registrations accepted after September 8th will be for U7, U9, and U11-U18 Rec League ONLY (no late fee).
• 50% Payment is due upon registration, remaining 50% due Sept 9th, 2026.
  • No Pay - No Play 
  • If registration is not been paid in full before the first ice time, the player will not be permitted to attend the ice time. 
• Any player with outstanding Registration Fee's is considered "Member Not In Good Standing"  The HCR 3.0 system automatically blocks Registration for a " Member Not in Good Standing" The block is removed once the payment is received in full. 

Conditioning Camps:

Our Conditioning Camp registration will be closing at 11:59pm Sunday, August 23rd. Late registrations with a late fee may be accepted at the discretion of the Registrar. Conditioning camps for some levels will begin August 29th, 2026.

U13AAA Tryouts

The U13AAA team selection process will be held separately from the U13 AA-A-B team selection process as per requested by Hockey Nova Scotia.

• U13 AAA Tryouts cost an additional Tryout fee
• Players named to the U13AAA team will have the U13 AA-A-Tryout Fee credited to their accounts, as they will not participate in the U13 AA-A-B Competitive Tryouts.
• Players released at anytime during U13 AAA tryouts retain no evaluation scores entering U13 AA-A-B tryouts.
• Players released at any point from the U13AAA selection process are not eligible for pro-rated refunds of tryout fee.
• If your player would like to try out for U13AAA, please select that registration option.
• If your player does NOT wish to try out for AAA but wants to be compete for U13 AA-A-B, please select that option instead.
• Players released from U13AAA tryouts will automatically enter the U13 AA-A-B selection process, which will begin after the U13 AAA team is finalized.

The U13AAA team selection process is tentatively scheduled to begin Friday September 11th - as we come closer dates and times will be finalized.

The team selection process for U15 and U18 expected to begin on Saturday September 26th. 

U9 balancing process expected to begin on Saturday September 26th

Registration Eligibility

All registrations are reviewed and approved by the Registrar. If a registered player is determined to reside outside the Cole Harbour Minor Hockey Boundary, the parent will be notified and registration cancelled/refunded.
