We are over half way in our 50/50 lotto for 2011-2012 and as you can see the winnings are low. I would like to take this opportunity to explain the changes that have been made to the lotto this year. We have increased the parents rebate to 25% instead of 15% in the previous years. This extra amount goes back to the parent to reflect next years registration.  When you sell 200 tickets a bonus of $100 is given to the child which comes off next years registration, ex: base registration $520 you would save $150.00 for a total of $370.00 against next year.

The 50/50 lotto has it's own identity and has nothing to do with Cole harbour Minor Hockey, the lotto is not there to make money, but rather to help the parents of Cole Harbour Minor Hockey. I have seen parents in the past 3 years not have to pay for hockey because of the tickets that they sell. I hope to see you all in the hockey office soon with your tickets.
