CHBAMHA have changed our procedure for releasing players during Atom, PeeWee, Bantam, and Midget boys REP evaluations; players/parents will now be notified of their next evaluation hour and level via the CHBA website. This change was made to improve the process and allow coaches more time evaluating at the rink rather then filling out slips of paper or standing in the rink lobby handing them out. This will add an average of 10 minutes of evaluation per session per evaluator and hopefully improve the process for everyone involved (Coaches and Players).
All players will be assigned a unique numerical code that only they know; this code will be provided to them by e-mail and parents will be required to confirm receipt electronically. Exceptions will be handled by phone. Players/parents will then be able to reference the ‘Player Evaluations’ section of the CHBA website (to be published by Sept. 16) to find their unique Player ID, current tryout level, and when their next evaluation hour will be. Coaches will have 3 hours maximum after the coaches last ice session to update the website. On a day where there is more than one session (morning and afternoon/evening), the website will be updated within 2 hours after the coaches last session.
Once a team is down to a roster of 23 or less the coaches will notify players/parents of release in person or by phone.
We ask that you do your best to support this new procedure and help it work. As with anything new there will likely be some kinks to work out. This procedure was implemented to help our volunteer coaches execute the difficult task of tryouts and hopefully make it better for coaches players and parents alike.
Any players that have signed up for rep evaluations, but have not received a code, please check the e-mail address that was used during the registration process, or check your junk/spam mail folder. If you cannot locate your code, please contact Marcel Deveau at
