This Sunday, March 7th is the last draw for the 50/50 Lotto for the 09/10 season. This will be your last chance to reach the required 200 minimum tickets/player sold to receive the $100 CHBA registration bonus! Please turn in all unsold tickets to the CHBA hockey office this Sunday between 10:30 & 12:30 or to your team ticket coordinator. These tickets expire on Sunday March 7th and cannot be used for next season.
Many thanks to all of our 50/50 Lotto volunteers for the endless hours they donate to make this program possible for all CHBA families!! THANK YOU!!!

This hockey quilt is valued at $490.00. The PeeWee AAA team is selling tickets - 1 for $2 or 3 for $5. The draw for the quilt will be made on March 25, 2010. Tickets can be purchased from the PeeWee AAA team. The quilt will be on display at the 7:00pm game Thursday Feb 25/10 Scotia I, and also the 7:00pm game Thursday March 4/10 Scotia I. |

The Cole Harbour PeeWee AAA Wings won the gold medal at the Quebec International BSR Tournament in Quebec City on Sunday! The defeated Chomutov, a team from the Czech Republic, by a score of 3-2 in the Championship game! They are only the second PeeWee team from Cole Habour to win a tournament in Quebec. The 2000 PeeWee AAA team won the same tournament with Sidney Crosby as their captain.

Former CHBA minor hockey players Blake Gallagher and Marc Cheverie are two of only a hundred players nominated for the Hobey Baker Award for the best player in U.S. College Hockey. The list will be narrowed down to ten and then again to three.
Blake is a senior and assistant captain at Cornell University and is currently leading his team in scoring.
Marc is a junior at the University of Denver and is enjoying another stellar season after playing all 40 games during his sophomore season in 2008/2009.

It's hard to believe the CHBA 50/50 Lotto has only 4 more draws left for the season! Parents and players, you need to check with your team Ticket Coordinator to see how many tickets you have sold for the season to date. In order to receive the CHBA Association bonus of $100, each player must achieve a minimum of 200 50/50 Lotto tickets sold per player during the 09/10 season. |

Congratulations to the Atom Oilers who won a gold medal and a banner at the Middleton Mustangs Tournament on Jan 23-24. They went 5-0 in the tournament and defeated West Hants in the final 4-2. Congratulations to the players and coaches on a job well done!

The PeeWee AAA Wings won the gold medal at the MacDonald / Gallagher tournament in Sydney last weekend. It was the second tournament Championship of the year for the Wings, who are now in the middle of Provincial Playdowns and fighting hard to earn another trip to Cape Breton for the Provincial Championships March 4-7. Good lucks Wings!

Everyone from the Cole Harbour Minor Hockey Association including players, parents, coaches, siblings etc can buy tickets at a great price of $8.00 per ticket (upper bowl) on their night specified above. (Must have a minimum purchase of 10 tickets)
Participating teams will have their name displayed on the SilverVision Screen, prizes are thrown out in the Minor Hockey Sections, the Cole Harbour Timbits will showcase their skills in the intermission game, plus much more!
