Quebec City, QC: It was a golden weekend for the Cole Harbour Peewee AA and AAA hockey teams at the Peewee International BSR Tournament in Quebec City. Over the course of 11 days teams from around the world competed for top prizes.

Teams from United States, France, Finland, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia attended the 37th Peewee International BSR Tournament in Quebec City, QC. A total of 102 teams played 164 games with the Cole Harbour Peewee AA and Cole Harbour Peewee AAA both taking home gold in the finals.

“I had a blast. It is an experience I will never forget,” said Jordan Matthews, team Captain for Cole Harbour Peewee AA.

Cole Harbour Peewee hockey teams have been attending the tournament year after year, but this is the first time Peewee AA and AAA won their divisions in the same calendar year, each with a 2-1 score in the Championship! This was the third Championship for the Peewee AAA team since 2000.

“We’re just so proud of these kids, because they worked so hard to get here. We could not have asked for a better weekend,” said Mark Tilley and Paul Mason, coaches for Cole Harbour Peewee AA and AAA teams.
