Congratulations to the Atom Oilers who won a gold medal and a banner at the Middleton Mustangs Tournament on Jan 23-24.  They went 5-0 in the tournament and defeated West Hants in the final 4-2.  Congratulations to the players and coaches on a job well done!

The PeeWee AAA Wings won the gold medal at the MacDonald / Gallagher tournament in Sydney last weekend. It was the second tournament Championship of the year for the Wings, who are now in the middle of Provincial Playdowns and fighting hard to earn another trip to Cape Breton for the Provincial Championships March 4-7. Good lucks Wings!

Congratulations to the Cole Harbour Peewee Canucks who took home gold medals and a trophy in the Shearwater Shannon Veterans Memorial Tournament. The team went undefeated in 5 games over the Christmas holidays. They beat the Shearwater Flyers in the gold medal game 7-4.

The PeeWee Senators won the Gold Medal at the Middleton Mustangs Tournament held this past weekend in Middleton, NS, defeating our Cole Harbour PeeWee Leafs with a 4 – 3 victory in the Final Game of the Round Robin to secure a 1st place spot in the Final Championship Game.  The Senators went on to defeat Greenwood with a 6 – 4 victory to the take Gold.  A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS go out  to the our PeeWee Senators for bringing home Gold and the Banner, which we will hang proudly in Scotia 1 for all to see !!!  WAY TO GO TEAM and COACHES !!! We are all so very proud of your accomplishment !!!

The coaches and parents of The Bantam AA Female Wings would like to congratulate the girls for capturing the silver medal at the Chicks with Sticks tournament last weekend in Yarmouth.  A 3 and 0 record put the girls into the final with strong cross town rival Bedford, the girls played a spirited championship hockey game and eventually lost in a shoot out.  A tough final leaves the girls better, stronger and with more hunger and desire, the team showed much improvement against one of our toughest opponents in Bedford and the coaching staff is both proud and pleased to see their progress in a short time so far this season.  A great weekend for the girls and team having fun and exhibiting some development, nothing like a tournament to ignite some competitive fires and nothing more fun than winning.  Now back to business, you can follow our schedule and find out where to come see them play on the South Conference website (http://www.scfhl.com/index.php) or check out our team website and stay current on how the girls are doing at www.nolimitshockey.com .  GO WINGS!

The PeeWee AAA Wings won the gold medal at the Western Valley Spartans tournament in Kingston this past weekend. The team was 5-0 in the tournament and have been making waves in the PeeWee AAA hockey scene in recent weeks. They have also earned a 4-0 record in the round robin of the Moosehead Cup, a playoff to determine which PeeWee AAA team from Central Minor will represent the Halifax Mooseheads at the 51st annual Quebec International PeeWee Hockey Tournament in Quebec City in February. The Championship game for the Moosehead Cup will be played next week - more details to follow!
